And Now, a Moment of Thanks
This Moment of Thanks goes out to Bet, who has listed me on her blogroll. And in doing so, has become the first (now don't take this the wrong way) TOTAL STRANGER to put me on their blog.
When I say total stranger, I just mean that in the sense that I've never met her. (Duh) But I'm also very happy to consider her a NEW FRIEND and although I don't even know what color her hair is, or if she has any for that matter, I'm happy to know her!
So Bet: Thank you for being my NEW FRIEND. Welcome to my Blog-o-sphere! Your contributions are always enjoyed!
**Kiss Kiss, Hug, Hug, (and for the cynics maybe just a little Barf, Barf)**
Your Pal,
Krizzer
P.S. My hair is brown and I have some.

Things I Learned on the Toilet
Manhole covers are round because a square manhole lid can fall into the hole if it's turned on its side and angled a bit (and, y'know, they're heavy) and hurt someone. Or wash away. Or be stolen (and most certainly eaten) by sewer trolls. Or rats. Or private investigators. But a round lid can't fit in the hole no matter which way it's positioned.
That's what they say. And I work for a construction company. And my coworkers have confirmed the answer. So there you have it. Fun stuff.
This is not a question, but I did learn it on the toilet: During the Plague many people thought they could cure themselves by sniffing human waste. GROSS! And so not a good cure.
Now for today's question: What's the one thing creditors can't seize if you go bankrupt?

Things I Learned on the Toilet
Yep, you all guessed it, Walt Disney has indeed won more Oscars than anyone else. Anyone besides, me, I mean.
First, a quote I read on the toilet: (per Reader's Digest)
George Bernard Shaw, the prolific playwright, cabled the following invitation to Winston Churchill:
"Have reserved two tickets for my first night. Come and bring a friend, if you have one. Shaw"
To which Churchill replied:
"Impossible to come first night. Will come second night, if you have one. Churchill."
Now for today's question:
Why are manhole covers round instead of square?

Happy End of Lent!
Did you have a good Easter?
I did. I had a good weekend, for that matter.
Friday night my boyfriend surprised me by returning to the Belly, he'll be home for a week. We ate fantastic Thai food, then he crashed and I went out with the girlies. We had a really good evening, and got some good catching up done. One of my friends is having a rough time in her marriage, and I had no idea. Poor girl! So, suffice to say, I'll be checking on her a lot in the days to come, and keeping my sympathetic ear tuned in.
Saturday, Andy and I watched 12 HOURS of basketball. That's right, FIVE straight NBA playoff games. It's sick it's disgusting it's slothful - but we had a nice day. He was feeling poopy and tired, and I was just happy to get to cuddle with him all day.
Sunday, we had breakfast and a walk around Lake Padden with his family. Then his sister and my friend Sue and I went to see Chicago (me for the third time!) and I drank a BIG OL' COCA COLA! My first pop in a LONG TIME - yay the end of lent! They loved the movie and I loved it again!
Then home for a nap, then I met my dad and stepmother for dinner at the Cliff House. My GOD it was good. It was so good I want to go back again for lunch!
All in all a good weekend and a good Easter.
I hope Stennie cursed her head off!
