Things I Learned on the Toilet
Johnny Cash was born J. R. Cash. He chose the first name John when the military wouldn't accept just initials on its forms.
Today's (or probably more accurately: This Week's) question:
What famous character is portrayed more than any other in the movies?

TALK About a Birthday Present
My blog loaded my blog loaded!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEEEEE!
So far it's been so good! I got presents on my chair when I came to work today, and the cake and balloons and flowers and cards from yesterday (I thought I was going to have be out of town - and not in a fun way - for work today, so they spoiled me yesterday. But it turns out I don't so now I get spoiled for two days! Awesome!)
Tonight I'll be dining at my favorite sushi restaurant with my mom, dad, stepmother, and boyfriend. It should be interesting, my stepmother is rather jealous of my mom. (Why? I don't know! My mom left my dad, my stepmother has no reason to be jealous! But then again, my stepmother is jealous of ME, so whatever.) Anyway, Andy says he's nervouse about dinner, but I think it could be exciting! Plus, who cares....as long as I get presents!
After dinner, I MAY want to go out for a drink. Or I may just want to go home (I am 30 now, not as young as I once was) and pack cause we're going CAMPING this weekend up at Mt. Baker for my birthday weekend! There should be quite a few of us, and we know some awesome secret spots up on the mountain, and it's supposed to be really really nice this weekend. I can't wait!
I hope I'm not the only one who can get into my blog! I miss you all!

When the Music's Over
Well, I met with my boss about that whole expensive boo-boo I made last week. And it really didn't go as badly as I expected. He knew that I'd been agonizing about the mistake enough, and that he didn't really need to impress upon me the serious nature of the matter. He also knew that it wasn't fair to put all the responsibility on me. We focused on putting a system in place to keep it from happening again, which is GREAT with me. I did mention, though, that while I HATE to make mistakes, and I feel very badly for this one, that the reason we don't already have a system in place to prevent these kinds of errors is because I hardly ever make mistakes. He said "I know you don't. I know, believe me I know, a hundred people have jumped to your defense over this," which made me feel good to hear. It's nice to know people were sticking up for me.
So that's all behind me. Yay! And Phew!

ONE DAY LEFT!
This is the LAST day of my twenties!!! Boy, I should go out and get drunk tonight, and get my first hangover of my thirties all prepped and ready to go.
I'm not going to be in the office tomorrow, so the gals at work brought in bagels and balloons and cake and presents today! Yay! I I love how my birthday is stretched over a couple of days.
Speaking of birthday, my MOM showed up out of the blue at dinner the other night. My mom lives in Rhode Island, so I was very surprised. Apparently Andy and his family and my dad were all in on the surprise. She didn't want my 30th birthday to pass without making a big deal of it. And I'm ALL fpr making a big deal out of it.
The birthday books have been ROLLING in! Stennie and Lint have both contributed some fine looking novels. And a gal at work chipped in this morning with two more. Once the birthday extravaganza is over I'll blog the whole list. It's getting to be quite a nice little stack! I'm so excited!
Hmmm, what should I get me for my birthday?
