It's All Her Fault
I know I know I've been remiss in my oblogations. But it's not my fault!!
Jellybean got me a RAD book on knitting for Christmas. This ain't your mama's knitting book. This is for hip chicks like JBean and Flipsycab and myself, and anyone else who has discovered an interest in the the art of the knit. It has chapters entitled things like "Take Back the Knit" and "Knit Happens" and "Oops, I Knit it Again." and it tells you everything that "Chicks with Sticks" might need to create one of the many groovy projects it supplies the patterns for. And these patterns are actually for projects I might want to wear. The people in the photographs look MY AGE and fun like me.
SO, I've been surreptitiously reading the book here at work and planning my first project (I'm going to the fabric store after work today! Woo hoo!) instead of surreptitiously blogging. Shame on me!
I've also been backing up many many many file folders onto cd off of our network today. In fact, I've been doing it for a day and a half, and I'm not quite halfway done. So I apologize, Stennie, for neglecting you. I'll try harder!

Monday Manners
From the chapter "At Table,"
Don't read newspaper or book or letters at table, if others are seated with you.
Well now, I have to agree with this one. My ex-boyfriend, who is also someone we know's ex-husband, used to read the paper when we would eat at the Bagelry, and I would always snatch it out of his hand saying "Hello! Real-live-person sitting right here next to you!"
Also, apparently you're not supposed to use the words "the" or "a" when discussing table manners, according to the advice above.
