The Problem
Ok, here's the problem. Clearly, my friends are da bom. And I love them and miss them and I LOVE visiting them. But this is the thing: most of my great memories of my friends are not "occasion" related. They are "just some weirdo shit that happened or some funny thing you said when we were hanging out one time" related. So my problem is, while I love to visit you for a few days, it just isn't enough. As you can see from my lists below, my friends crack me up. But most of these thing aren't the kind of thing you make plans to get together and do. Who says "hey, why don't you come up to Bellingham and watch Bob Ross at my house this weekend?" and you don't say "Ok, I'll be over to pick you up and then we'll drive around making animal noises at the top of our lungs." These things happen spontaneously because you're just hanging out. And I'm getting pretty fed up with not being able to hang out with the cool people I love. Seriously.
So, what are we going to do about it?

Monday Manners
From the chapter "In Dress and Personal Habits"
Don't be over-familiar. Don't strike your friends on the back, nudge them in the side, or give other physical manifestation of your pleasure. Don't indulge in these familiarities, or submit to them from others.
Ya hear that? No more hugs around here. No love of any kind. That's the LAST thing I want from my friends. Sheesh!
