Come on Baby!

 

It's snowing in the land of my Weatherpixie. How come it's not snowing in the land of me?

Yesterday I spent most of the day sitting on my bed studying for my last two anatomy/physiology tests this week. And every so often I'd look out the window across the bay at the clouds mantling the islands and shout: "SNOW!!!!!" But the clouds weren't having any. Boo.

I love it when it snows. I love it that everyone has to slow down. So you're late to work, so what? You made it there safely, that's what counts. Every day should be like that. And I love that lots of people are too nervous to drive, so when I go out there's no one on the road!

And snow makes unlikely people fun. Like my grumpy bosses, they've been known to ambush me on my way back from lunch with a volley of snowballs. Or I'll be quietly working (blogging) away and suddenly "SPLAT!" on my window. About this time of year the snow starts to fall and the gift boxes of chocolates and cheese and crackers start to arrive from our vendors, and the Christmas music is on, and we're into the slow season, and all month is like a holiday party, everyone standing in the kitchen, seeking out the caramels and avoiding the cremes. Well, it's more fun than any other time of year, put it that way.

And it looks like that fun time of year is underway in WeatherpixieLand. Wish it was like that here!
