How Can you Resist?

Of course, when I saw this game, I immediately thought of our dear Stennie.

Superpower

Hi! I'm back! At least for now!

Since I've been gone so long, I thought I'd give you a little treat. Check this game out. If you're anything like me, and I know I am, it'll be right up your alley. (Har har har!)

I figured something out the other day. I learned something new about myself. In the past, when I've been asked that age-old question "if you could have any super power, what would it be?" I've always answered "I'd like to be able to fly." And don't get me wrong, I would like to be able to fly. Flying's very cool. BUT I've changed my mind. If I could have only ONE superpower, flying would not be it. What would it be then? you ask. I'll tell you:

I would have a powerful internal magnet, on which I could adjust the direction, the polarity, the force, and the range of field. Now, that would mean I would have to the power to draw objects to me or repell them at will. (and of course, the magnet would work on all objects, not just those made of metal) So, I could get a cookie out of the kitchen without getting out of bed, for instance. Or if I went to a day care center, I could erect a force field around myself to avoid getting pegged with alphabet cubes or creamed peas. That'd be one aspect of my fabulous powers. And a fabulous aspect that would be.

But really, the most important effect of my magnetism would be on people. Just think, without knowing why, people could just instinctively clear a path in front of me whereever I go! How handy would that be at the grocery store, on the freeway, at the mall? Finally, people would just get the hell out of my way!! It'd be heaven. That alone would be the best superpower ever. Not to mention that I could also turn the polarity the other direction and attract people to me whenever I wanted. Maybe I'd leave it on a general low-setting of 2 when I'm just out and about, and everybody would thing I was terribly charismatic. But then, when I was auditioning for a play or playing a gig or at a job interview or whatever, I could turn the magnet up a few notches. Academy awards, here I come. It's brilliant.

Question is, how am I supposed to come by these powers. Super powers alway involve an accident at the lab of some kind. Hmmm. Well I am in the lab a couple nights a week. And next quarter, I'm taking organic chemistry. Maybe I should experiment with spilling things on me and breathing various vapors...I'll let you know how it works out.
